Bookmarc, is a new Book Store by Marc Jacobs located on Bleecker Street in Manhattan. The store stocks a very selective collection of books and a number of special Marc Jacobs stationary products.
I love the name, and I love how the store’s font resembles Marc Jacobs logo. Be sure to check out it out if you’re in NYC.
Even though we are all busy with fitours, gabqas, and all affairs related to Ramadan, it is never too early to be looking for that perfect gown to wear for the coming wedding season. And where better to start your search and selection other than with the designer eternally known for his elegant and divine creations Oscar de la Renta. His first PreFall piece was spotted on Jessica Biel when she promoted “Valentine’s Day” the movie back in February. Then another heavenly design made an appearance when Angie Harmon glided the Oscar’s Vanity Fair party in his ruby embroidered gown. She looked flawless with her minimal makeup and accessories, and the gown’s ruby hue beautifully reflected off her skin color.
Then Glee’s Lea Michelle brought elegance to the red carpet when she slipped into an Oscar de la Renta silk faille black gown with rosette shoulder detailing to attend one of Elton John’s fund raising parties. This gown is a favorite of mine because of the way it admirably hugs a curvaceous body.
Finally, one of Oscar’s masterpieces brightened Gossip Girl’s set when Leighton Meester wore his orange organza pleated strapless gown with a rise and fall hem. I am completely swayed with how the show’s stylist did not shy away from bright colors (despite the gown’s hue) by adding a pair of fuchsia satin heels to Leighton’s look.

It’s no secret that so many stars are fans of Oscar de la Renta’s timeless dresses. Even Liv Tyler couldn’t resist the feminine and structured designs. She is pictured here wearing a brown sequined dress with pink design detail to a Piaget event.
Though Liz wore the dress with a pair of black strappy sandals, I think it would be better suited with a pair of nude or brown heels like this Halston pair.

Unlike everyone else this month, I’m the last one to tune into the Ramadan hit “Zorat Ilkhamees”. I don’t like starting shows halfway through so I began watching all the episodes from the beginning on Al Watan’s website. I’m currently on episode 7 and completely hooked! When I got to episode two, something very familiar caught my attention…an Oscar de la Renta kaftan. Not only is it familiar, but we actually have this exact kaftan on the AlOthman Outlet website. Suad Abdullah looks great in it and pairs the look with loose black pants. I have to say this show is dangerously addictive and I have episodes downloading at home right now! Can’t wait to see what happens next…
I can no longer keep up with the number of celebrities who have been seen in these stunning Christian Louboutin Clou Noeud 150 studded slingbacks with bow detailing … but no one should blame these ladies for wanting to flaunt the shoes. The gorgeous peep-toe heels are the ideal balance between edgy and feminine and the color can’t be any more neutral (and therefore a perfect match with any color) than that! So far we have seen them paired with Heidi Klum’s sultry silver sequin dress, Rihanna’s laid-back summer outfit, Dakota Fanning’s ultra feminine blush frock, and … I have no idea who this lady is but she doesn’t win my admiration for pairing her heels with black stockings! Anyway, you better hurry and get your size because these blush beauties are running out fast!

The Emmys took place last night and it was a runway of fabulous gowns!
The starlets of the shows wowed in the most stunning looks fashion had to offer. Take a look at Julie Bowen in her elegant J.Mendel as well as songbird Lea Michelle in a dramatic ruffled Oscar de la Renta.
Everyone’s favorite cheerleader, Dianna Agron, dawned a girly Carolina Herrera lace tiered gown. Kyra Sedgwick chose Monique Lhuiller for her rippled berry strapless ballgown with a sweat heart neckline.
Funny girls, Sophia Vergara, looks fresh and modern in her citron gemmed Carolina Herrera gown which lightens her strong Latin colorings and Tina Fey brought on the geometric print in her Oscar de la Renta number.

Other actresses who I thought looked sensational were:
Jane Krakowski in her black and navy one shouldered Escada piece and January Jones who brought to life an electric blue Atelier Versace.
These goddeses also blew me away; Nina Dobrev in Zuhair Murad, a stunning gold and ivory confection with lace and Mariska Hargitay who wore a perfectly molded Vera Wang gown. Stunning!

For the celebration of Fashions Night Out in New York, Barneys commissioned Andrew Yang to produce these fabulous dolls of Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington.
What a fabulous way to sleep cuddled up at night!? I cant wait to get my hands on one of them!
And of course, the question was- what are they wearing? Yang, not wanting to single out one designer over another, decided on his own hands to produce his little couture ensembles.
