Welcome to another round of Monday additions. Today’s latest arrivals come from Edun, Zero + Maria Cornejo & the recipient of this year’s Vogue/BFC Fashion Fund award, Jonathan Saunders.
First up, we’ve got a great selection from the very talented Mr.
Jonathan Saunders‘ label. Known for his fun and colorful use of patterns, the pieces pictured above depict his consistent combination of lively motif prints on elegantly-cut designs. On the left is a multi-color striped, long sleeved
V-neck dress, with a black velvet belt attached and pleating on the back. The second design is short sleeved dress; the beige shirt is attached to the abstract
Victorian-inspired red pattern skirt. The back of the piece features a large keyhole and a slit opening.
We’ve also added this black, 100%
silk skirt from Edun. The fabric of the dress is ruched and pleated all-over, giving a modern twist to an otherwise classic design. Additionally, my personal favorite from the Zero + Maria Cornejo additions is this
black/brown short sleeved dress pleated at the waistline, fastened at the front with a concealed zipper.
Are you in need of a chic statement cocktail dress for a wedding or istiqbal? Why not opt for this Oscar de la Renta silk faille sleeveless dress as seen on Eva Mendes. The star showed off her retro style with black accessories… I personally prefer a pair of silver or bronze heels. I also wish she had tied her hair up in a high ponytail or a sleek bun to elevate the chicness of the Oscar piece.

How does someone celebrate 20 years monopolizing the shoe world? With a grand party of course.
Christian Louboutin’s night of celebration was at the shoe department of Bergdorf Goodman where red balloons filled the ceilings, confetti was spilled over the floor, and Crazy Horse dancers provided the entertainment.
The shoe genius himself posing with Linda Fargo, both dawning very festive outfits.
Hopefully 20,000 more years of your shoes dawning our pieds Mr.Louboutin.

Rachel Bilson’s new show ‘Hart of Dixie’ on the CW has become a big hit in the US. More of a hit however, is her costar Jamie King, playing Lemon Breeland, the typical Southern Belle.
Lemon’s costumes couldn’t be more appropriate in this time with the ever present Sherbet Colors of Summer 2012 taking full control.
Always clad in girly colors, she exudes Southern charm with her femininity, fragility, and sweetness.

The British Fashion Council announced yesterday the winner of its Fashion Fund Award, co-sponsored by British Vogue. The prestigious accolade goes to Jonathan Saunders and endows the designer with a £200,000 to invest in his business and industry mentorship.
Saunders, whose line debuted in 2008, beat out several other up-and-coming designers, including Marios Schwab, Roksansa Ilincic, Nicholas Kirkwood and Peter Piloto. Nominees, who will all receive industry mentorship, were judged based on their latest collection in addition to a business plan presentation.
“I’m so happy about winning the fund,” Saunders said, adding that he and his team “have many exciting plans for the near future.”
