Sophia Loren. An everlasting beauty.
I love the richness in her style. She is all about femininity, luxury, and vibrance.
So naturally, when I saw these shoes by Nicholas Kirkwood, I couldn’t think of a better match.
Find them now at AlOthman.

Recently, I was browsing through on of my favorite foodie blogs, Kitchy Kitchen, and I found these fantastic Barbie cakes she made, using some of our designer gowns as inspiration.
Below is one based on the full organza gown by Monique Lhuillier.
Even the sheer illusion bustier was incorporated in the form of delicate sugar.
The other one I loved was the fantastic lazer cut origami style Marchesa gown.
Beautiful work.
Sadly, the fashion world lost a treasure recently, in the death of Anna Piaggi.
The eccentric Italian fashion journalist, was iconic in the way she dressed. Vibrant hair and make-up, loads and loads of accessories, masses of hats, and the most outrageous of outfits.
She also played as Muse to Alexander McQueen and Karl Lagerfeld.
She was the subject of a fabulous exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London of all her personal collections of fashion.
She will be remembered and referred to for years to come. Rest in Peace.
As I walked into the Balmain showroom last March, I fell in love with the decadence and detailing of the collection.
The pearls strewn through jackets, the crystals in their criss cross shapes, and plush fabrics from velvets to satins.
All I could imagine was the beauty and details of Faberge eggs as though they were formed into clothing and worn.
Luxury at its finest.
