Neon Nicholas

Jessica Biel sure knew how to stop the red carpet traffic in her Nicholas Kirkwood for Roksanda Ilincic pumps with neon block heels.  There is nothing else to say except that I have not seen her look this good in a looooong time… I guess being a future bride agrees with her!

Jessica‘s heels along with the rest of the Nicholas tantalizing summer collection are available at AlOthman.

Designer Spotlight: Brian Atwood

We would like to announce the exciting arrival of shoe designer Brian Atwood!

This alluring model turned designer started his career designing shoes for Versace and later launched his own footwear brand. Brian Atwood’s shoes were an instant hit and worn by the likes of Zoe Saldana, Demi Moore and Victoria Beckham.

Known for his infamous maniac pumps, his sky-rocketing career in womens footwear encouraged the designer into a newer and accessible shoe line called “B by Brian Atwood“.

“My idea of the woman, and that image of the woman that I design for,  she’s confident, she’s very sophisticated but she knows who she is.” Brian Atwood

Now available at AlOthman!

What a fox!

Amanda Shadforth, fashion blogger to the famous Oracle Fox is one of my many favorite bloggers to follow. Simply because she constantly has an interesting not-so-simple -yet-not-so-over-the-top feel to all of her outfits. I feel she is one of the very few who can really pull of the “I really look like I didn’t put any effort but I did and I look fabulous.”

Here latest outfit captured the usual essence of her carefree look. Donned in a T by Alexander Wang, leather shorts, wrap scarf, Alexander Wang back pack and the infamous Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers.

Surreal This

The Fall 2012 Runway of Diane Von Furstenberg was possibly my favorite of the season.

It was colorful, bold, extremely feminine, and best of all, the accessories were to die for.

I loved how she played with surrealism with faces, lips, clocks, and dice.

Take a look at the handbags that will soon be arriving in Kuwait by DVF- Do you love them as much as I do?

H by F Event

Yesterday AlOthman held the launch of Fahad AlMarzouq’s H by F Spring 2012 handbag collection. It was a beautiful of array of exotic leathers in rich summer colors and in a variety of sizes.

Following the success of yesterday’s H by F launch event held at AlOthman, we would like thank our fellow customers and readers for their continuous support of AlOthman & local designers!

Trend-Setters: The Olsens

The Olsen twins were not once called “Bag ladies” for nothing. These adorable fashion-gurus surely are trendsetters when it comes to what arm candy to carry around town.

Let us first start off with their wonderful bag collection from their line The Row. Versatile yet classic bags that can be carried both as a clutch and a bag which come in a variety of exotic skins and buttery soft leathers, they are a true investment when it comes to handbags. At AlOthman we currently carry the Spring 2012 The Row handbags.

Another micro-trend that has made a return in the fashion world all thanks to the Olsen twins was the infamous late 80s- early 90s backpack.  It all initially started when the girls were seen around town lugging their very luxe crocodile skin backpack from The Row. The backpack trend came just in time with summer with the convenience of being easily carried around and fitting all your necessities without being a pain.

Channel your inner Olsen and be ahead of the trend by getting your hands on this season’s coveted backpack from Alexander Wang also available at AlOthman.

Clutches Gone Wu

Jason Wu has taken his genius hand off the dresses and onto accessories.

I went crazy for the box like clutches in the Chinese influences that he represented on his Fall runway.

Loving the tassel, the metal work, the embroidery, and the amazing Deco clasp.

Proenza Rocks

Proenza Schouler. I wear their clothes, their shoes, their bags, and now their…jewels darling!

The fashion team duo have finally been able to produce their pieces that walk the runway. Collaborating with Alex & Lee, well known San Fransisco jewellers of the Seventies, they are manufacturing their West meets Aztec meets fabulous pieces.

Would love to get my hands on these baubles and work them with one of their colorful printed dresses.

In time…

Accessory Addict

Every season Style.com selects their 10 favorite accessories from all the designers. When it came to shoes, which was just posted this week, they chose two of the pieces soon to be arriving to AlOthman.

The extremely fun and spunky art defined shoe by Nicholas Kirkwood with blue suede, pink waves, and little black bubbles.

And the other Isabel Marant‘s feminine take on a cowboy look with blush suede, and maroon and ivory leather flames, a tiny little mary-jane strap.

Pair with flirty dresses or jeans and a top and you have a winning look for a showdown.
