Styled by Oscar PR Girl

Erika Bearman of Oscar PR girl famously known for her up-to-date twitter, tumblr, and instagram accounts styled the winter 2012 look book for Oscar de la Renta. We love her quirky and young approach to Oscar’s infamous classic pieces. Is there a thing this girl doesn’t do?

Azealia for T by Alexander Wang

What’s more exciting than when music and fashion collaborate?

Alexander Wang & rapper Azealia Banks teamed up for a T by Alexander Wang campaign that couldn’t be any refreshing. We love the laid back yet cool element of the video as well as the choice of rapper; very suitable for the brand.

Watch the video here ! But we warn you, we’re not responsible for any urges to get up and start shaking!

Dressing up Pastries

Recently, I was browsing through on of my favorite foodie blogs, Kitchy Kitchen, and I found these fantastic Barbie cakes she made, using some of our designer gowns as inspiration.

Below is one based on the full organza gown by Monique Lhuillier.

Even the sheer illusion bustier was incorporated in the form of delicate sugar.

The other one I loved was the fantastic lazer cut origami style Marchesa gown.

Beautiful work.

Lets Have a “Rendezvous”

i was browsing through one of my favourite fashion blogs, Style Bubble and came across these fun pictures showing off the DVF Rendevous collection.

It’s called Fetish Box Clutch and it’s the new capsule collection launched by Diane von Furstenberg  as part of the Fall 2012 collection entitled “Rendezvous”. Inspired by the Surrealist undertones of the Fall 2012 collection: “It’s all about desire and I think the fetish bags speak to that,” says Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere.

All styles are hand-crafted in Italy and feature sophisticated materials and details such as embroideries made using metallic yarns and gorgeous crystal clasps.

As Diane von Furstenberg herself says, “Accessories are the punctuation and these little bags are so unique and glamorous. They are perfect to keep all of your secrets!”

Magazine March

Hace you seen Isabel Marant‘s latest ad’s for Fall 2012?

All girly with the florals, lace, and heels; yet adrogenous with the super short hair and stances.

The perfect mix for the Parisian cool girl gang.

Loving it!

All Hail

Vanity Fair honored the always elegant Carolina Herrera on their list of Hall of Fame of Best Dressed.

I could not agree more… All Hail Queen Herrera.

Proenza Thoughts

With Proenza Schouler, it’s all about the attitude.

Meghan Collision was shot for the campaign in a somber yet Rock and Roll way.

It screams the cool chick in town!

What a fox!

Amanda Shadforth, fashion blogger to the famous Oracle Fox is one of my many favorite bloggers to follow. Simply because she constantly has an interesting not-so-simple -yet-not-so-over-the-top feel to all of her outfits. I feel she is one of the very few who can really pull of the “I really look like I didn’t put any effort but I did and I look fabulous.”

Here latest outfit captured the usual essence of her carefree look. Donned in a T by Alexander Wang, leather shorts, wrap scarf, Alexander Wang back pack and the infamous Isabel Marant Bekket sneakers.

Detective Chic

I am a huge fan of classic films.

None fit the bill better than the Bogie/Bacall Detective film ‘The Big Sleep‘.

As soon as I skimmed through Marios Schwab‘s Resort 2013 collection, the film immediately struck my mind.

He brought back 1940′s seductive yet conservative detective chic to us.

Loving the look, and am very excited to bring back hats, gloves, and capes.

Back of the Shoot- Jason Wu

One of my favorite blogs that I check daily is the New York Times Fashion Blog.

I love how they have access to background shots, vulnerable timings, and first looks.

While the Resort 2013 Collections were being posted, they simultaneously put up background shots of the shoots.

Check out Jason Wu and his immaculate styling and hands on approach of his work.

It is always so fantastic to see the love and passion that these great designers put into their work.

Bravo to the New York Times Fashion Blog for sharing them with the world.
