Erika Bearman of Oscar PR girl famously known for her up-to-date twitter, tumblr, and instagram accounts styled the winter 2012 look book for Oscar de la Renta. We love her quirky and young approach to Oscar’s infamous classic pieces. Is there a thing this girl doesn’t do?

What’s more exciting than when music and fashion collaborate?
Alexander Wang & rapper Azealia Banks teamed up for a T by Alexander Wang campaign that couldn’t be any refreshing. We love the laid back yet cool element of the video as well as the choice of rapper; very suitable for the brand.
Watch the video here ! But we warn you, we’re not responsible for any urges to get up and start shaking!
Recently, I was browsing through on of my favorite foodie blogs, Kitchy Kitchen, and I found these fantastic Barbie cakes she made, using some of our designer gowns as inspiration.
Below is one based on the full organza gown by Monique Lhuillier.
Even the sheer illusion bustier was incorporated in the form of delicate sugar.
The other one I loved was the fantastic lazer cut origami style Marchesa gown.
Beautiful work.
I am a huge fan of classic films.
None fit the bill better than the Bogie/Bacall Detective film ‘The Big Sleep‘.
As soon as I skimmed through Marios Schwab‘s Resort 2013 collection, the film immediately struck my mind.
He brought back 1940′s seductive yet conservative detective chic to us.
Loving the look, and am very excited to bring back hats, gloves, and capes.
One of my favorite blogs that I check daily is the New York Times Fashion Blog.
I love how they have access to background shots, vulnerable timings, and first looks.
While the Resort 2013 Collections were being posted, they simultaneously put up background shots of the shoots.
Check out Jason Wu and his immaculate styling and hands on approach of his work.
It is always so fantastic to see the love and passion that these great designers put into their work.
Bravo to the New York Times Fashion Blog for sharing them with the world.
One of my favorite Idols, Marilyn Monroe, has been sadly missed for years and years.
Though, while seeing the run of Resort 2013 shows, I can’t help but be curious- What would she wear had she still been with us today?
This is what I would imagine:
For her sultry feline day look of pencil skirts that hug her curves and a belt to cinch her waist, I believe she would go for this stunning Roland Mouret look. The eggshell draped top would balance out her curvaceous hips, and the ribbon belt would bring attention to her tiny waist. A perfect match.
For a night on the town, we often saw her donning pristine white with a little structure, yet the garment was always close to her body.
I thought she would definitely choose Zac Posen’s Resort 2013 strapless gown in pure white with the sweetheart neckline and origami tail.
You are missed Marilyn!
I went absolutely mad about Peter Pilotto‘s new Resort 2013 collection.
The bright colors took their funky prints into an entire new direction.
Though it was not quoted as part of their inspiration, I was immediately taken to Mexico’s fabulous festival of The Day of the Dead.
Bright clashing colors, overwhelming prints, and hidden shapes all reminded me of the celebrations.
Can’t wait for the Resort buying trip, all the shows look fantastic!
