Styled by Oscar PR Girl

Erika Bearman of Oscar PR girl famously known for her up-to-date twitter, tumblr, and instagram accounts styled the winter 2012 look book for Oscar de la Renta. We love her quirky and young approach to Oscar’s infamous classic pieces. Is there a thing this girl doesn’t do?

Balmain Blazin!

Elizabeth Olson made a statement at a movie premieres by sporting an ivory beaded Balmain blazer with her long jersey dress.  She styled up the look with a sleek baby blue The Row clutch, black pumps, and straight hair. The entire ensemble intrigued me because a predictable styling for the Blazer would have been a mimic of the runway look.  Elizabeth made sure to style the blazer to suit her own feminine ladylike taste.

The Balmain blazer is available at AlOthman.

Lets Have a “Rendezvous”

i was browsing through one of my favourite fashion blogs, Style Bubble and came across these fun pictures showing off the DVF Rendevous collection.

It’s called Fetish Box Clutch and it’s the new capsule collection launched by Diane von Furstenberg  as part of the Fall 2012 collection entitled “Rendezvous”. Inspired by the Surrealist undertones of the Fall 2012 collection: “It’s all about desire and I think the fetish bags speak to that,” says Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere.

All styles are hand-crafted in Italy and feature sophisticated materials and details such as embroideries made using metallic yarns and gorgeous crystal clasps.

As Diane von Furstenberg herself says, “Accessories are the punctuation and these little bags are so unique and glamorous. They are perfect to keep all of your secrets!”

“Do You” Rabih?

Lebanese designer Rabih Kayrouz known for his ultimate high fashion urbanite aesthetic produced his Winter 2012 collection under the title “Do you”.

Always a fan of relaxed chic, his pieces were beautiful creations that mimic modern warrior with their minimal gold cuffs and belts.

Rabih Kayrouz winter 2012 is now available at AlOthman!

PreFall Elegance

Sarah Jessica Parker added some edge to her otherwise very elegant Oscar de la Renta gown from the PreFall 2012 collection.  The pink pleated gown was complemented with a Theyskens’ Theory leather jacket, pointy grey pumps, and white gloves.  The more I look at her picture the more I start appreciating how she pulled off the entire look.  I have said this one and I’ll say it again, only someone like SJP can make any look work for her!

Another elegant look from Oscar‘s Prefall collection was seen on Rashida Jones at the 2012 Independent Spirit Awards. Her blossoming dress looked so chic with her navy heels, but what’s with the messy lifeless hair? She would have looked amazing with her hair up in a bun or a sleek ponytail.  Rashida could have also added a statement necklace to elevate the look by a few notches.

Both Oscar de la Renta looks are available at AlOthman.

A Walk To Paris !!

Nowadays footwear is every woman’s desire and the choices are getting better and better, Nicholas Kirkwood has risen to shoe stardom.

The Fall 2012 collection just released, showing a range of extreme high heels and quirky leather flats inspired by Paris in the ’20s, a bit of deco and a whole lot of romance.

Trend Alert: Delicately Laced

London’s finest designers seem to have a soft spot to one of my favorite elements used in fashion: Lace.

Erdem was inspired by french actress Jeanne Moreau in her powerful yet feminine aura. Strong splashes of orange mixed with hues of tobacco were toned down by lace and floral appliques.

Preen, on the other hand, was inspired by the practicality of transitioning between seasons. Which means you can wear the pieces for summer (when the merchandise hits stores) and still be able to “winterize” them later on during the season. Very clever!

Both designers pre-fall collections are now available at AlOthman !

‘Macadam Diva’

Diane von Furstenberg presents her Pre-Fall 2012 collection ‘Macadam Diva’, macadam, for those of you who don’t know, is the french word for asphalt or tarmac. It’s also the inspiration behind DVFs Pre-Fall 2012 collection.

The collection sees a relaxed collection taking inspiration from the swinging 60′s and rock ‘n’ roll 80′s.

The collection was rooted in the urban spirit–there were wearable skirt suits in eye-popping geometric prints, structured shift dresses and easy separates.

Neon Nicholas

Jessica Biel sure knew how to stop the red carpet traffic in her Nicholas Kirkwood for Roksanda Ilincic pumps with neon block heels.  There is nothing else to say except that I have not seen her look this good in a looooong time… I guess being a future bride agrees with her!

Jessica‘s heels along with the rest of the Nicholas tantalizing summer collection are available at AlOthman.
