The Mojolaters Blues Band at Manshar Rotana

The all hip swerving, smooth, Mojolaters Blues Band are back at the Manshar Rotana Hotel on Wednesday June 3rd at 7:30 pm and tickets are going fast. If you’re interested in going call ahead and reserve some tickets at 2-393-1000.

For those who attended last time, the band has worked on 15 new songs (out of a set list of approximately 20) and they’ve chosen some excellent classic rock tunes, so there’s definitely something new in it for you.

If you are not familiar with the band, here’s a quick history:

-All band members reside in Kuwait.

-They have been declared a “National Treasure” by the National Council of Culture, Arts and Letters.

-They are recommended listening on the curriculum of the Masters of Arts program in the prestigious New York School of Music (which counts Paul Simon and Eric Clapton among its alumni).

Hope to see you all there.

A Zero Pop Up

Chilean designer Maria Cornejo has decided to take on the Fabulous French Fashionistas. Her brand Zero + Maria Cornejo has been around for ten years and is extremely popular in the American market, even more so since Michelle Obama began dawning her garments all over the world.

Now, she has plans to focus on the European markets beginning in Paris, where she will be opening a Pop-Up store at the Brachfeld Gallery from June 20th to July 11th.

The concept of a Pop-Up store has been popularized during the recent economic crisis as it allows designers to have their collection present however without the permanent fixtures that a boutique entails. It also allows for the designers to be far more creative as it doe not have to withstand the test of time.

I will be in Paris during that time doing the Resort collections, therefore will definitely try to make it there to take some snaps for you.
