Summer Time

The best way to celebrate summer is to throw a pool party or simply lounge poolside or on the beach with your family and close friends. Easy! Now the tough part is finding demure and elegant swimwear that looks more Rita Hayworth-ish than skimpy Pamela Anderson-ish.

I love the latest trend in swimwear, focusing on vintage-inspired looks. Eres nailed this trend down with swimwear inspired from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. Known for its elegant, super-flattering, quintessential retro swimwear, Eres offer a variety of selection from stripped and strapless one-piece, ruched one-piece with belt detail thrown in (which can also be worn as a head piece), to Bond Girl bold block colored high-waist bikini.

Pair with easy flats or canvas wedges, stacked bangles and fine necklaces, swirly sun dresses for cover-up, and a bronzed complexion to stand out from the crowd.

Eres is available at AlOthman and is now on sale.

Tiny, Tight, and Trusted

Recently, I have been noticing shots of celebs sporting one of my all time favorite looks- short dramatic dresses. So I collected some images to post about as an ode to the timeless look.

Granted it is not the easiest look to pull off, some gym time, sun worshipping, and waxing are all a must. But once you are in one of these divine dresses, you feel and look like the perfect woman.

Shown here are some examples of the pieces I refer to:

Isabel Lucas in an absolutely gorgeous draped ivory number. This woman looks perfect with her golden legs, soft make-up, nude heels, and lustrous hair. A Goddess.

Rosario Dawson showcases a look that is a dress to keep for a lifetime! The deep navy blue hue, the puffy sleeves, the perfectly tied bow at the waist. This look is ideal for lunch with the in-laws, dinner out with friends, or even a business meeting. Chic.

Megan Fox, she always brings on the sexiness, and who can blame her- she sizzles. Shown here at the premier of her new film sequel to “Transformers” she rocks a sleeveless little black dress with sheer cut-out detailing on the chest and waist. The perfect peek-a-boo sultry to keep her from being trashy.

Then we have Molly Sims, she steps away from the classic colors and goes for a playful mix of pinks, blacks, and reds; a fun vibrant combination for summer. With a black beaded necklace to add oomph and nude heels to elongate her legs and bring focus to the dress are perfect styling tactics for this look. If only she had pulled her hair back though.

Personally, I have rows and rows of these darling dresses that pack a huge punch in a variety of colors and silhuoettes. Do you love this look?
