Ever wonder who invented cork platform shoes? Well, the London Design Museum released two new books; 50 Dresses That Changed The World & 50 Shoes That Changed The World, that might just give you some insight on which dresses and shoes made history.

From the 1915 Delphos Pleated dress all the way through to Hussein Chalayan’s 2007 LED dress and Zaha Hadid’s 2009 Lacoste shoe. They make great coffee table books with a bit of fashion history 101.
