And so commences the Fall 2010 Buying trip!
I arrived yesterday on a plane ride over the snowy Alps into Milan. After a lovely dinner with a few friends, I snuggled into bed for the first day ahead. Our day began at Diane Von Furstenberg, which was a very special collection. It was inspired by menswear, so the first stories were all about crisp tailoring and sharp detailing but then it carried on to their classic wraps and dresses in black jerseys and then into super pretty girly! The transitions of the collection was so nice and I loved everything from the bracelet sleeved little LBD, to the oversized knit cardigan with chains, to the full skirted silver purple ballet dresses.
We then went on to see Tomaso Stefanelli, it was lovely that he was there to walk us through the collection himself. We picked up on his crystal studded little dresses, a fabulous velvet cropped coat, and some flare cuffed jackets. His collection was classic and elegant as always.
We then went on to view a few more brands we are considering picking up. One of them was in this manic showroom which had Kelly green carpeting, vibrant orange curtains and chandeliers, and pink chairs. It was crazy fun.
We then stopped by for lunch as it poured rain, and carried on walking through the streets of Milan, stopping by some shops along the way, and seeing this gorgeous rainbow!
Off to dinner now and at renowned seafood restaurant Giacomo’s which is also rumored to have the best pizzas! Mmm…and this is my job!?
