My gloriously rainy morning began at a chic little flat on the Rue de Rivoli to see Prabal Gurung. From his window you had the most beautiful view of the Jardin de Tuileries.
His collection was a runway favorite for me so I couldn’t wait to get my hand on the pieces.
He used some quirky fabrics such as rubberized silk, burnt pailletes, and lycra dotted with crystals. His dresses were midi, his back were slashed open, and his skirts tiered. Even his shoes were gorgeous- a collaboration with Nicholas Kirkwood. A collection that was made for me to love!

I began my morning with the lovely collection of Peter Pilotto.
The layered looks enchanted me on the runway and I am totally falling for this new length midi skirt! vanilla lace, moon prints, and minty green off set the striking brights from their previous collection.
Chunky knits and jerseys in muted blues took the entire colection into a calming and coll vibe- perfect for the sweltering Kuwaiti summer!
And take a glance at Christopher (half of the design team) loving and boasting about his page in AlOthmans very own Muse!
A beautiful headband on display in the showroom. Look at the wonderful chaos!
My next visit was to Marios Schwab. The grungy collection introduced Marios into prints similar to tattoos. Emblazed onto jerseys, and crepe, he also had a bit of leather, and lace to complete his street savvy style.

Paris Fashion Season is here!
Flying off to Paris today for the Spring/Summer 2011 collections and I am as excited as the very first time!

I was at the store admiring the newly arrived Christian Louboutin PreFall collection, and I couldn’t resist a single pair of the booties … this season they are beautifully adorned, deliciously colored, and divinely textured. Jessica Alba was one of the first celebrities to be seen in a pair when she stepped out in this beautiful yellow and black ensemble. I adore how the heels are dipped low elongating her legs, and I can imagine how gorgeous they look with colored stockings.
Jessica‘s heels are available in black and raspberry hue for KD 285.
Leighton Meester and Estelle were spotted in the open-toe ankle Christian Louboutin ‘Button Flannel’ booties. The most interesting part of the heels are the multi golden buttons giving off a military-esque look to them. I tried on these heels myself and I can’t even begin to describe the number of outfits that would match them … they are definitely one of my IT shoes of the season.
Leighton and Estelle‘s booties are available in the khaki color for KD 279.
The other day, the wonderful Confashions made some great summer shoe picks at the AlOthman Shoe Outlet and posted about them. Well now I have even better news to make your visit worth while. We have JUST sent up new additions to the shoe outlet from Pierre Hardy and Proenza Schouler. If you are a fan of these fab designers then I suggest you get in your car and step on it because there’s nothing worse than finding your dream shoe that’s not available in your size!
First up, the gorgeous Proenza Schouler yellow and snakeskin heels. Also from PS, a pair of funky nude sandals.
Next we have a flat to match any outfit from the great Pierre Hardy.
My favorites are the funky zip-up gladiators in white. We hope to see you soon!
London Fashion Week is always about creativity and madness. However for the Spring Summer 2011 season, it was all about the Lady.
Our spies in London took these shots for us at the shows.
Erdem was all about the ballerina. With his florals, lace, satin, and tulle truly encompassing his collection.
Peter Pilotto focused this season on lighter colors, a refreshing take on their beautiful colorful prints. Pieces were layered and striped and the funky shoes were by Nicholas Kirkwood.
Giles brough on the usual humor with band aid prints, pom poms, and frosty blue eyebrows. I fell crazy for his fringing and his prom dresses.
Roksanda Ilincic brought a little of bohemia into her show with head scarves and maxi dresses. She ruched her hips and pleated her skirts to perfection.
Marios Schwab toyed with the bad girls. Leather, cut-outs, and slip dresses. Booties, stars, and lace. All these elements rolled up into one rocker collection.

As I was browsing one of my favorite sites, Zimbio, I came across this photo of model Arlenis Sosa in a Matthew Williamson maxi dress that we had on the AlOthman Outlet website. She was attending the 2010 “Follow the Sun” event in New York City (hosted by the gorgeous Alessandra Ambrosio). This dress was very popular and sold out online, but we have plenty of similar maxi dresses available by the British designer. These two patterned ones were recently added as a part of our end of summer sale:
