For the first day of Ramadan, we decided to celebrate with a look into Kaftans.

The ever stunning and fabulous Elizabeth Taylor was an avid collector of kaftans and wore them to parties, events, and even as a wedding dress.

She began collecting in the 1960′s and as her collection grew and grew, she put them all up to auction years later to raise money for her Aids charity.

I for one adore wearing kaftans, and am excited for the month ahead to jazz all mine up.
