Old Movies Glamour

If you’re a fan of old black and white arabic movies, you would know how truly elegant actresses were. The flawless makeup, the shiny hair, and the classy wardrobe. To me, Faten Hamama represented true refined elegance during that era. She amazes me with her exceptional acting, her regal beauty, and her classy sense of fashion. To me, she is an arabic style icon in the fifties and the sixties.

So when I saw this Peter Som sun baked metallic sleeveless dress, I instantly imagined Fatin wearing it for one of her romantic movie roles. I love how the dress emphasizes the waist and has just the exact volume you need to channel the Fatin in you.

This Peter Som dress is available in store for KD 598.

    Faten Hamama = DIVA
I could sooo picture her wearing this on the set of ‘Sayidat al Qasr’
It looks much better with the waist belt rather than the tie.

Sayidat Al Qasr is one of my favorite movies! And I agree, the leather belt gives the dress an edgier look. I also liked the old Najla’a Fatehi and Suad Hussni.. they looked cute!

I looooooove Najlaa’ Fathi and her style! She was definitely a fashion icon, along with all the ladies you mentioned above!

‘Nahr il 7ob’ is my favorite Fatin Hammama movie, and the dresses she wore in it were magnificent :)
