Isabella Blow, fashion eccentric and all around fabulous human, will be remembered through two autobiographies coming out about her in 2010. Known for discovering the talents of Alexander McQueen, Hussein Chalayan, Sophie Dahl, Stella tennant, and Philip Treacy.
She worked as assistant to Anna Wintour for American Vogue, as well as spots in Harpers Bazaar, British Vogue, and many other high fashion publications.
Her most magnificent feature, however, had to be the way she wore the most outlandish and strange hats with such ease, style, and grace. Ever since I knew of her, I have been admiring her fashion sense and courage.
Unfortunately, she suffered many personal issues, and took her own life two years ago by drinking an excessive mount of weed killer.
Irony is, she was a flower that stood out gloriously, in an industry of such shallowness and repetition.
I can not wait to get my hands onto these books, and relive the world of the true Mad Hatter.
