Paris, the most beautiful city in the entire world.
Unfortunately, I have never lived there, so I am constantly finding new and wonderful things to lave about it at a slow pace.
My latest find was a little tradition that takes place once a year and last all night long. It is known as “Nuit Blanche” where one night a year all the museums, parks, cinemas. theaters, and swimming pools are opened the entire night long.
The event began in 2002 when the minister of culture, Christophe Girard, was forced to come up with a new idea- and succumbed to this. Although it was instantly opposed, they gave it a chance and it turned out to be a massive success. It has taken place consistently once every year since then.
The best part of the event? After hours , 7pm to 7am, of being out and about in the beautiful city in the peak of its magical hours, breakfast is served free of charge for anyone who made it through the night.
How delightful.

I did live in Paris shortly but unfortunately didn’t make that much use of it since I was a student at the time and wanted to get away from it if that makes any sense. What an amazing idea! What date does it take place on? And WHO serves you breakfast? Like everywhere breakfast is free or how does it work? I love the idea of being out and exploring a wide awake city right before dawn.
One of the many reasons I love the fact that I live in Paris.
Dear 1001 Nights-
I don’t know exactly what date it falls, because it changes regularly. However, for the breakfast, it is not every cafe but only participating ones that lie within the city center area.
Dear Zay-
Please share us your experience of the never ending night! Would love to hear about it!
