Hit it Mika- “BIG GIRLS YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!”

Will this be the Anthem for the coming year? Ever since V Magazine showcased their Size issue, the plus size model industry or “real women” have been shoved into the spotlight.

After seeing people like Beth Ditto of The Gossip sporting skin tight bandage dresses with full on confidence, it allows for others to want to do the same.Even her collection designed for Evans was a massive sold out success!

To me- yes, some of these women look stunning! But this is after a lot of lighting, make-up, touch-ups, and computer magic. In reality- these girls look far too large to be wearing bodysuits and cut-out mini dresses.

Don’t misunderstand me- I adore the bodies of Jayne Mansfield and Kim Kardashian far more than those stick figure types. However I must say, high fashion looks simply remarkable on skinny tall models.

Would you love to see fashion shoots with the thin usual bodies we are all used to or incorporating plus size models?

I’m loving the embrace of curvier women. I think they’ll look great. I would love to hear what men have to say about this.

Wow! The first thing I thought was that their faces are beautiful!!! Regardless of their size. I agree that high fashion should be on thin tall women. I mean, if the designers have a plus size line, that would be nice. Why not incorporate it into all the runways? :D
These days you see kids 11 years old, boys and girls, that are self conscious of their bodies. It’s sad, really.
    I love it :D
And I really really would love to hear what men have to say about it, too!

    Dear Captain and xtc-
Thank you for the comments. I completely agree, these women have stunning faces! I actually, remember watching Fashion TV and seeing a model having her hair done while she was playing with a Barbie! The model that they were going to parade down the runway was 14 years old! I definitely appreciate a more womanly body because it better represents the customer base for these clothes. Captain- thank you for asking your brother, we need more male thoughts and opinions!
